Tour description
The Kikuletwa Hot Springs is one of Tanzania’s many hidden gems! A beautiful natural pool hiding away among twisting fig trees in the middle of a dusty landscape, this little oasis is the perfect place to unwind after your safari or mountain climb.
On a clear day, you can also get gorgeous views of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Located within the Sanya plains, the hot springs are a short drive off the main road between Arusha and Moshi. No trip to the Kilimanjaro region is complete without taking a dip here!
Itinerary
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha at around 9 AM and drive straight to Chemka village where Kikuletwa Hotsprings are located.
We’ll drive you back around 4 in the afternoon.
In between arrival and departure, you can do a number of activities including:
Enjoy a relaxing hot bath
Have a picnic lunch
Go for a body massage
Learn the history of the place and its culture etc.

  • tips for your guide and cook. Industry recommendation is $20 to your guide divided by everyone in the vehicle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. HOW DO I GET TO THE MOUNTAIN? The mountain has it’s own airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport, IATA airport code JRO). Currently around seven airlines fly into JRO, including KLM, Kenya Airways, Turkish Airlines, Ethiopian, Qatar Airways, Flydubai (partners with Emirates) and Rwandair. Your trekking company will then transfer you to a hotel in Moshi or Arusha, and from there (usually the next day) will take you to the mountain to begin your trek.
